In the spring of 2019, Art in the Frame Foundation was so pleased to receive sponsorship from the Islands Foundation, to sponsor their Starting Out exhibition at The Harbour Gallery Jersey. The Islands Foundation, having been set up to benefit sporting, educational, cultural and community projects in the Islands by using funds raised by Islands Lotto, kindly agreed to sponsor this exhibition to enable budding Jersey artists to exhibit for the very first time at no cost to them. The gallery also took no commission on sales of the art work.
The Bailiwick Express kindly covered the exhibition – https://www.bailiwickexpress.com/jsy/news/harbour-galleries-new-exhibition-starting-out/
Art in the Frame Foundation at The Harbour Gallery are very pleased to have received sponsorship from Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) for their major event in March 2013, Up Cycle Your Life. This sponsorship provided free workshop spaces, with very experienced tutors, for over 130 Primary School children and Wishing Tree for them to place their wishes for the future of the environment.
In May 2013 The Harbour Gallery hosted one of its most beautiful exhibitions, Surfaces, exhibiting work from the Diversity Textile group who meet weekly and work from The Harbour Gallery, with invited guests. Art in the Frame Foundation at The Harbour Gallery would like to thank Blue Mauser Charitable Trust for sponsoring this exhibition.
Christmas 2013, Art in the Frame Foundation at The Harbour Gallery received a grant of £1,500 from Genuine Jersey to hold a whole month of Christmas events, workshops and a major exhibition to promote the art and craft work of Genuine Jersey makers and producers. With a different event each weekend this proved to be a very busy month for Genuine Jersey members and The Harbour Gallery.
From the Association of Jersey Charities, Art in the Frame Foundation have been awarded a Grant of £4000 in the February 2014 Grants. This generous Grant is to enable secondary school Art and Design students at GCSE and A level work with highly qualified and inspirational tutors brought over from the UK and Europe. During Jersey Textile Showcase over 50 students, boys and girls, will be able to take advantage of this, coming from Haute Vallee, Hautlieu, Jersey College for Girls, Beaulieu and the Mencap Group. The students will all benefit from a Friday afternoon talk by Art Historian Mary Schauser.
